This coin was issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Luxembourg's independence. The obverse features a bust of Grand Duke Jean (b1921-) encircled by the French legend JEAN GRAND-DUC DE LUXEMBOURG with 1/5 OZ .999 below the bust.   The reverse has the Luxembourg arms flanked on the sides by the denomination 20 F on the left and IML on the right. The dates 1839 and 1989 are below the arms. Jean abdicated in favor of his son Henri in 2000.
